Bengaluru: A video from Yelahanka New Town has gone viral on social media, showing a woman hurling abuses and threats at traffic police officers during a heated roadside confrontation on Thursday.

According to reports, the incident began as a routine traffic check when police stopped the woman’s two-wheeler and clamped her vehicle. What should have been a simple enforcement quickly escalated into a loud public argument, with the woman aggressively defending a man who appeared to be accompanying her.

The video, widely circulated online, captures her using abusive language in Hindi towards both a male and female traffic officer. At one point, she shouted at a policeman: “B*****d, don’t say anything to my staff. How dare you touch his t-shirt?” She then turned to the woman constable with a shocking threat: “Kapde utaar ke nanga karungi tujhe” (I will strip you naked).

Throughout the clip, the officers can be seen attempting to de-escalate the situation. A male officer is even heard saying, “You are a woman, that’s why we are speaking respectfully. Otherwise, the situation would have been different.” Unfazed, the woman challenged the police to arrest her if they had the courage.

The incident, now drawing widespread attention online, has prompted police to take the woman into custody, and legal action is underway against her.

The episode has sparked debate over civic discipline, respect for law enforcement, and public behavior in highly congested urban areas like Bengaluru.
