A 40-year-old Bengaluru-based social worker has filed a serious police complaint, accusing RR Nagar BJP MLA Munirathna Naidu and three associates of gang raping her in June 2023.

The woman, who approached the police this week, alleged that the men injected an unknown substance into her shoulder before the assault. In her chilling statement, she claimed the group also urinated on her face and threatened to kill her son and harm her family if she resisted or disclosed the crime.

She further said that she has been suffering from persistent health issues ever since the incident.

The police have registered a case under relevant sections of the IPC, and an investigation is underway, though no arrests have been made as of now.

The disturbing allegations have drawn public concern and political attention, with pressure mounting for an impartial and transparent probe. Authorities have yet to confirm the exact timeline of forensic or medical evaluations.
