In a shocking case of multitasking gone wrong, a woman in Bengaluru was caught working on her laptop while navigating the city’s chaotic traffic. A video of the incident went viral, prompting police to track her down and issue a ₹1,000 fine for reckless driving.

The woman, whose identity remains undisclosed, was summoned by the authorities after a fellow motorist recorded her using a laptop on her lap while driving. The footage, shared widely on social media, led police to her registered address, where she was asked to appear in person.

During questioning, she admitted to switching on her laptop while driving because she needed to log in for work and feared delays due to traffic. She was returning from her office in BTM Layout to her home in RT Nagar when the incident occurred.

The Bengaluru traffic police took to social media to warn against such dangerous behavior, with Deputy Commissioner Sirigowri DR posting on X: “Work from home, not from car while driving.”

The incident sparked heated discussions online. Some criticized the woman for endangering lives, while others questioned whether employers should be held accountable for pressuring workers into extreme multitasking. The debate also highlighted concerns about other distractions, such as watching videos while driving.
