Bengaluru: Women’s safety in India remains a major concern—and a recent incident near Bengaluru’s popular Rameshwaram Cafe has reignited fears and sparked a social media uproar. A viral video shows three visibly shaken women narrating how they were chased and stalked by three unknown men early in the morning, leaving them “scared and traumatised.”

According to their account, the ordeal began in JP Nagar shortly after their visit to the cafe. They noticed three men following them on foot. Things escalated when the men pulled up in a car and began tailing their Rapido once the women boarded. The women say they tried speaking to their auto driver, but he remained indifferent. Eventually, they managed to lose the stalkers in traffic.

The video, shared by Instagram user @suha_hana88, is captioned: “3 creepy men, 3 traumatised girls.” It quickly caught public attention, with netizens expressing anger and offering safety suggestions.

One user advised:

“In such situations, stay in crowded areas. Never head straight home. Go to the police station if needed—just stopping there can scare them off.”

Another added:

“Take their car number and report them. It’s scary, but that step helps.”

The incident has triggered widespread demand for stronger public safety mechanisms, especially for women traveling early in the morning.
