A 26-year-old man, identified as Shubhamshu Shukla from Chhattisgarh, has been arrested by Whitefield Police in Bengaluru for allegedly shouting slogans in support of Pakistan.
The incident occurred on May 9 in Prashanth Layout, where a group of local youths was cheerfully celebrating the Indian Army’s success in a cross-border operation. During this celebration, Shukla, who resides in a paying guest (PG) facility nearby, reportedly shouted slogans from the balcony that supported Pakistan.
The residents participating in the celebration were taken aback. They noticed two individuals on the PG balcony and immediately contacted the police using the emergency helpline number.
Police personnel from the Whitefield station quickly responded to the alert and detained both men for questioning. After a brief inquiry, authorities determined that it was Shubhamshu Shukla who had made the provocative statements.
According to police sources, Shukla is currently working for a private firm in Bengaluru. A case has been filed against him, and he has been sent to judicial custody as the legal process continues.
The motive behind his alleged actions is still under scrutiny, and a detailed investigation is underway to determine whether any deeper intent or affiliations are involved.
Such sensitive actions, especially during public gatherings, have raised concerns among residents and law enforcement officials alike, prompting discussions about communal harmony and responsible conduct.
