The Pink Line of Namma Metro, spanning 21.25 km, is among the most ambitious ventures by Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Limited (BMRCL) under Phase 2 expansion. Once functional, it promises to ease the city’s notorious traffic congestion, offering much-needed relief to daily commuters.

The project unfolds in two segments. The initial stretch, covering 13.92 km, comprises six underground and six elevated stations and is now slated for a December 2025 launch. The second phase, spanning 6.98 km plus a 0.48 km surface segment, features six elevated stations and is expected to be operational by December 2026. In total, the Pink Line will boast 18 stations12 elevated and six underground, per a Magic Bricks report.

Revised timelines indicate the stretch between Kalena Agrahara (Gottigere) and Nagawara, covering 21.26 km, will be ready by December 2025. Construction is advancing swiftly, especially between Kalena Agrahara and Tavarekere, where six key stations—Tavarekere, Jayadeva Interchange, JP Nagar IV Phase, IIMB, Hulimavu, and Kalena Agrahara—are taking shape.

The Pink Line stations include:

  • Elevated: Kalena Agrahara, Hulimavu, IIMB, JP Nagar 4th Phase, Jayadeva Hospital, Tavarekere

  • Underground: Dairy Circle, Lakkasandra, Langford Town, National Military School, MG Road, Shivaji Nagar, Cantonment, Pottery Town, Tannery Road, Venkateshpura, Kadugundanahalli, Nagawara

  •
