Beruru, a garden decor and lifestyle brand, has opened a new store on Lavelle Road in Bengaluru, just a short walk from the lush Cubbon Park. This 6,000-square-foot space embodies Beruru’s vision of joyful urban living with an immersive garden experience.
Designed by Story Studio and Reading Grounds, alongside project manager Amritha Madhavan, the store features a layout inspired by a glasshouse. The design prioritizes natural light and a strong connection to the outdoors, creating an inviting and expansive environment.
The store’s L-shaped layout includes six adjoining glasshouses that maximize light and provide views of the surrounding greenery. Walkways guide visitors through various indoor plants, pots, sculptures, and decor pieces sourced globally. A striking light installation by Oorjaa, made from lantana, fiber, and paper, highlights the store’s nature-inspired theme.
A serene courtyard with a majestic peepal tree offers a tranquil pause in the space, enhancing the shopping experience. The design emphasizes sustainability, with features like water-permeable layers for underground water recharge and rainwater harvesting systems.
Beruru’s new store aims to inspire and transform urban living spaces with its unique blend of indoor and outdoor elements, celebrating the beauty of nature in everyday life.
