Bengaluru: In a disturbing incident, Kumbalgodu Police have arrested a student from ACS College of Engineering, Kumbalgodu for allegedly recording videos of female students in their toilet. The accused, identified as Chikkagollarahatti Kushal, a 7th-semester computer science student, was taken into custody following a complaint from fellow students.
The incident occurred around 10 AM when Kushal entered the female restroom and began recording videos on his mobile phone. His actions were discovered by a female student, who immediately raised the alarm, exiting the toilet while screaming for help. This prompted other students and college staff to gather at the scene.
Upon learning of the situation, a group of students entered the restroom to confront Kushal, who was still present. They forcibly removed him from the premises and attempted to take matters into their own hands, expressing their anger towards him. In response to the escalating situation, female students organized a protest on the college grounds to condemn Kushal’s actions.
The college staff promptly informed the police, who arrived at the scene and took Kushal into custody. During the investigation, police seized his mobile phone and discovered two videos recorded between 10:30 AM and 10:45 AM, one lasting 14 minutes and the other 59 seconds. Authorities are now investigating whether Kushal had previously recorded similar videos and if he shared them with anyone else.
The mobile device has been sent to the cyber department for a thorough examination to recover all data and ascertain the full extent of Kushal’s actions. The police have assured that they are taking the matter seriously and will pursue all necessary legal actions against the accused.
