Bengaluru: The dispute involving Kannada actor Dhanveer Gowda and Vijayalakshmi, wife of actor Darshan, has taken a fresh turn after Dhanveer’s father, Thimmegowda, approached the Rajajinagar police with allegations of trespass, disturbance and death threats.
Thimmegowda has accused Vijayalakshmi, her manager Nagaraj and two other men, identified as Boja and Bottle Pramod, of allegedly creating a disturbance at his residence. Based on his complaint, the police have registered a non-cognisable report (NCR).
The complaint relates to an alleged incident on the evening of October 21, when Dhanveer was reportedly in Mysuru. According to Thimmegowda, the incident occurred around 8.30 pm while he was at home with his wife Bharathi, mother Jayamma and daughter Nalinakshi.
Alleged confrontation at Thimmegowda’s residence
According to the complaint, Vijayalakshmi and Nagaraj arrived at the residence and rang the doorbell, asking about Dhanveer and his father. The family reportedly informed them that Dhanveer was away and that Thimmegowda was having dinner.
The situation allegedly escalated when Nagaraj noticed a relative, Ajay Gowda, inside the house and mistook him for a rowdy, according to Thimmegowda’s account.
The complaint alleges that Nagaraj began shouting and questioned the family about the presence of other people at the residence. What began as an inquiry about Dhanveer’s whereabouts allegedly turned into a heated exchange.
Thimmegowda has claimed that Vijayalakshmi subsequently called Gourav Shetty and asked him to send Boja and Bottle Pramod to the house. Nagaraj is also alleged to have contacted the two men.
According to the complaint, Boja and Bottle Pramod arrived at the residence shortly afterwards, further escalating the confrontation.
Father alleges threats against Dhanveer
Thimmegowda has alleged that when he questioned the two men about their identities and why they had come to his house, Bottle Pramod claimed to be Vijayalakshmi’s brother.
The complaint further states that Bottle Pramod made threatening remarks involving Dhanveer, including references to bringing the actor and dealing with him.
Thimmegowda said he warned those present that he would contact the police if the situation continued. The group allegedly left the premises together in a car, reportedly continuing to shout as they departed.
In his complaint, Thimmegowda has sought an investigation into the alleged conduct of the four individuals. He has urged the police to summon them for questioning and initiate appropriate legal action over the alleged trespass, disturbance and threats.
The allegations have not been independently established, and the complaint represents Thimmegowda’s account of the incident.
Police register non-cognisable report
The Rajajinagar police have registered a non-cognisable report based on the complaint, according to the information provided.
An NCR records allegations relating to an incident reported to the police. The registration of such a report does not, by itself, establish the allegations as fact or determine the guilt of the individuals named.
Thimmegowda has requested that the police examine the circumstances surrounding the alleged confrontation, question those involved and take action in accordance with the law.
The next steps will depend on the police assessment of the complaint and the available evidence. The allegations against Vijayalakshmi, Nagaraj, Boja and Bottle Pramod remain claims that require verification.
Dispute between the parties takes another turn
The latest complaint adds another development to the ongoing dispute involving Dhanveer Gowda and Vijayalakshmi. With Thimmegowda now approaching the police, the focus is on the allegations concerning the incident at his residence and the action that may follow.
The complaint also raises questions about the circumstances in which the group allegedly arrived at the house and the exchange that reportedly took place in Dhanveer’s absence.
Further developments are likely to depend on the police inquiry and any additional statements or evidence gathered in connection with the case.
Until the allegations are investigated, the claims made in the complaint should be treated as allegations rather than established facts.
