Game of Thrones star Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, best known for playing Jaime Lannister a.k.a. “The Kingslayer,” delighted fans in India after being spotted at The Rameshwaram Cafe in Rajajinagar, Bengaluru. The Danish actor was seen enjoying a classic South Indian breakfast with two fellow travelers.
His surprise appearance went viral after content creator Shakira inadvertently captured him in the background while filming a video at the café. Dressed casually in a black shirt and hat, Coster-Waldau was seen relishing idlis and dosas. “I was just randomly filming myself and spotted Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones right behind me — a total star-struck moment,” Shakira wrote in her Instagram caption.
The video quickly lit up social media. One fan joked, “So his right hand works? Bro had us fooled,” referencing his character’s lost hand in the series. Another commented, “The Kingslayer eating ghee pudi dosa before GTA 6 — iconic!”
Confirming his visit, The Rameshwaram Cafe’s official Instagram shared a post expressing gratitude: “A star-studded moment at our cafe! Hosting the incredibly talented Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and his team was a true honour. We’re thrilled he experienced our authentic flavours.”
Coster-Waldau, who starred alongside Lena Headey and Peter Dinklage in the HBO mega-hit, received two Emmy nominations for his performance. He is currently preparing for his next major role in BBC’s upcoming historical epic, King and Conqueror.
