Hospet (Vijayanagar), 22 August 2024 : MSPL Company, in partnership with the Jaipur Bhagwan Mahaveer Handicapped Cooperative Committee, is hosting a free Jaipur artificial leg fitting camp from August 24 to 26 at the Sahakari Kalyan Mandap in Hospet.
HK Ramesh, Vice President of the Social Services Department at MSPL, announced at a press conference that this camp marks its 11th year. Over the years, 2,357 individuals have benefitted from the camp. The initiative aims to assist people from Vijayanagara, Bellary, and Koppal districts with various leg disabilities, including congenital issues, polio, or leg loss from accidents.
Interested participants can register with BM Nagaraj at 9902500250 or SM Shambulingaiah at 9449135837. Already, 150 people have signed up. The camp also supports those needing annual replacements for their artificial legs. To date, the camp has provided 1,155 artificial legs, 709 calipers, 44 walkers, 72 crutches, 253 tricycles, 38 wheelchairs, and 38 manual cycles, and has conducted 48 minor surgeries.
This camp continues to make a significant impact, offering essential services and support to individuals with mobility challenges, ensuring they receive the assistance they need for a better quality of life.
