Indigo Airlines has announced the launch of a new direct flight service connecting Bengaluru to Ayodhya, starting on December 31, 2024. This move is part of the airline’s ongoing efforts to enhance domestic connectivity and cater to the growing demand for regional travel. The new route will serve both tourism and pilgrimage travelers, providing a convenient and reliable mode of transportation to one of India’s most spiritually significant cities.

The new flights will be operated daily, with flight 6E 934 departing Bengaluru at 11:40 am and arriving in Ayodhya at 2:25 pm. The return flight, 6E 926, will leave Ayodhya at 2:55 pm and land back in Bengaluru at 5:30 pm. According to Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, the launch of this service reflects the airline’s commitment to strengthening regional connectivity and enhancing travel options for its customers.

Alongside the Bengaluru-Ayodhya route, IndiGo is also set to resume daily flights to Gorakhpur, starting the same day, December 31. Gorakhpur, known for its rich cultural and religious heritage, holds significant importance for followers of Jainism and Buddhism. These new services will offer competitive pricing, ensuring a seamless travel experience for those exploring both spiritual and cultural destinations.

By introducing these routes, IndiGo aims to significantly boost domestic air travel, expanding its network and making travel more accessible for pilgrims, tourists, and business travelers alike.
