Bengaluru: The Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) has urged voters to verify whether their names have been mistakenly included in the ASDDO (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate and Others) list uploaded on the Election Commission’s website, even if they have already submitted their Special Intensive Revision (SIR) enumeration forms.

The appeal comes after several voters reported finding their names on the ASDDO list despite successfully submitting signed enumeration forms to their Booth Level Officers (BLOs).

ASDDO list does not mean deletion

Chief Electoral Officer V. Anbukkumar clarified that inclusion in the ASDDO list does not automatically mean a voter’s name has been deleted from the electoral roll.

“It means the record has been flagged for verification,” he said, urging affected voters to immediately contact their respective BLOs if they had already submitted their forms and received an acknowledgement.

The Assembly constituency-wise and polling booth-wise ASDDO lists have been uploaded on the CEO Karnataka website for public verification.

What voters should do

The CEO advised voters to first check whether their names appear on the ASDDO list through the CEO Karnataka portal or by contacting their Booth Level Officer.

If their name has been flagged, voters should verify the reason—whether marked as Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate or Others—and submit or re-submit the required Enumeration Form along with supporting documents, if necessary.

They have also been advised to regularly follow up with the BLO or Electoral Registration Officer (ERO) until the verification process is completed and their details are updated.

Rollback option available till August 8

Anbukkumar said that if a BLO had collected an Enumeration Form but failed to upload it or wrongly placed it under the ASDDO category, the BLO could use the rollback option in the BLO app to restore the record to the digitised forms list.

The rollback facility will remain available until August 8.

He further clarified that voters whose forms have been successfully digitised and acknowledged need not worry, while those who have shifted permanently to another constituency should apply for enrolment at their new address using Form 6 or the applicable SIR process.
