A five-year-old leopard that sparked panic in Bengaluru’s Electronic City was captured last night near a helipad area, a secluded spot on the outskirts of the IT hub. The forest department is expected to move the animal to Bannerghatta Biological Park.
The leopard had been on the loose for over a week, prompting forest officials to launch an extensive search operation. Cameras and thermal drones were deployed to track its movements after a video surfaced showing the animal crossing a flyover near a toll plaza at 3 am. The residents were placed on high alert during the search.
Authorities suspect this may be the same leopard spotted earlier in Jigani.
