On Wednesday, a military school affiliated with the Ministry of Defence in Bengaluru received a bomb threat email, which was later confirmed to be a hoax. The email, received around 12:30 pm, claimed that explosive materials had been planted on the premises.

The school management promptly informed the police, who responded with a thorough search involving the bomb detection and disposal squad and a sniffer dog team. No explosives were found, and the threat was declared false. The Ashok Nagar police have filed a case and are investigating.

This incident follows a pattern of hoax threats targeting schools in Bengaluru. A private school near Manyata Tech Park received a similar hoax on August 29, and eight other schools faced similar threats in May. Last December, 68 schools within the Bengaluru Police Commissionerate and Bengaluru Rural Police limits also received hoax bomb threat emails. Investigations into these cases have shown limited progress.
