The sudden passing of Abhinav Singh, a talented engineer and rising Odia singer from Cuttack, has left family and authorities searching for answers. Discovered lifeless in his Bengaluru apartment two days ago, the circumstances surrounding his death remain shrouded in uncertainty.

His devastated mother, Vidyut Pradhan, claims that relentless psychological torment by his wife and in-laws pushed him to the brink. Following the tragedy, his family lodged a complaint at Cuttack’s Lalbag police station, accusing his wife, her sister, and parents of prolonged mental harassment. Simultaneously, Bengaluru’s Marathahalli police have launched a separate inquiry into the unexplained death.

Vidyut asserts that Abhinav was falsely accused of dowry demands and attempted murder, leading to his arrest last year. Though he was released on bail, the ongoing threats and emotional blackmail reportedly took a heavy toll on his mental health. On the day of the incident, repeated calls from his mother went unanswered. Worried, a friend entered his home through an open balcony door, only to find him unconscious. Rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead.

Alongside his engineering profession, Abhinav was a passionate musician, widely recognized for his YouTube channel “Urban Loafer.” Performing as “Juggernaut,” his rap songs honored Odisha’s vibrant culture and traditions.

As investigations continue, his tragic story sparks crucial conversations about mental health struggles and family conflicts.
