Following the washout of the highly anticipated Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) IPL match on May 23 due to heavy rain, the Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) began processing refunds for physical ticket holders at Chinnaswamy Stadium on Monday.
Fans can collect their refunds between 11 AM and 8 PM daily until Wednesday, May 29. The fixture was shifted last minute to Lucknow’s Ekana Stadium after downpours left the Bengaluru ground waterlogged.
In the relocated match, SRH handed RCB a 42-run defeat—becoming the first away team to beat the Bengaluru franchise on the road this season. The loss snapped RCB’s impressive six-match away winning streak and pushed them down to third in the standings.
KSCA officials expressed regret over the disruption but assured full refunds for valid ticket holders. “We’re disappointed we couldn’t host the game here, but fan satisfaction remains a priority,” said an official involved in the refund operations.
Meanwhile, RCB (17 points) has already qualified for the playoffs and is eyeing a top-two finish with a win against Lucknow Super Giants in their final league game on Tuesday.
SRH, already out of playoff contention, found solace in the victory after a tough season. Their bowlers choked RCB’s star-studded lineup, defending 180 with ease.
Online ticket buyers will automatically get refunds within 7–10 business days.
