A rowdy sheeter in Bengaluru allegedly jumped from a building while attempting to escape from police during a search operation, triggering panic in the area.

According to police sources, the accused was being tracked in connection with multiple criminal cases when officers reached a building to apprehend him. On noticing the police team, the rowdy sheeter reportedly tried to flee and jumped from the structure in a desperate attempt to escape.

Police said the accused sustained injuries in the fall and was immediately taken into custody before being shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police launch operation to nab accused

Officials stated that the operation was part of an ongoing crackdown on habitual offenders and rowdy sheeters in Bengaluru. The accused was allegedly involved in several criminal activities and had been under police surveillance for some time.

The dramatic escape attempt reportedly drew the attention of local residents, many of whom gathered near the building after witnessing the incident.

Police personnel secured the area and later shifted the accused under tight security.

Investigation underway

Authorities are now verifying whether the accused had assistance while hiding from police. Further investigation is underway regarding the criminal cases registered against him.
