Veteran filmmaker M S Sathyu’s 1978 allegorical satire, Chitegu Chinte (The Restless Corpse), will be showcased at the Bangalore International Centre (BIC) this weekend. Known for his politically charged narratives, Sathyu’s film delves into the complex dynamics between politicians, gangsters, and film stars.

Set on an imaginary island, the movie features acclaimed actor C R Simha as a superstar-turned-actor, unraveling the interplay of power and influence. Written by the renowned Javed Siddiqui, the film remains a timeless commentary on societal hierarchies.

This screening is part of BIC’s B Cinematic initiative, which celebrates impactful cinema from across India. Catch this classic on January 5, at 11 AM at BIC, Domlur. Entry is free, but RSVP is mandatory.
