Bengaluru police are on a massive search for a notorious serial killer, Kadamba, who brutally attacked four people in Indiranagar without provocation on February 8. Known for petty disputes, the 20-something suspect unleashed violence along the busy 100 Feet Road between 9:30 and 10 PM.
Later that night, around 2:30 AM, he assaulted a motorcyclist near 80 Feet Road, fleeing with the victim’s Suzuki Access after tricking him into offering a ride to KR Puram Railway Station. Authorities have traced him to Hoskote.
The victims include Jashwanth P (19), Mahesh Sitapati S (23), Deepak Kumar Varma (24), and Tammaiah (44), all Indiranagar residents. The assailant targeted Jashwanth over a wrong turn and Mahesh for failing to respond to a query. Two pani puri vendors suffered injuries following a dispute over food availability and payment.
Kadamba, a resident of Old Binnamangala slums, has six prior cases, including theft, assault, and robbery. Declared a repeat offender in May 2024, he was recently placed under a ₹1 lakh bond for good conduct. Investigators revealed he quarreled with his family over alcohol money before his violent spree.
Police have launched four teams to track him down, using CCTV footage from a Hoskote pharmacy where he sought food money. The case falls under BNS Section 109 (attempt to murder).
