The National Federation of the Blind – Karnataka chapter is launching South India’s first structured rehabilitation programme for adults who have recently lost their vision. This three-month residential course is designed to equip participants with practical life skills to help them regain independence and confidence.
The curriculum includes orientation and mobility training, essential life skills (such as hygiene, money handling, and household management), basic cooking, time management, use of smartphones and devices, communication skills, braille access, and awareness of government schemes. Food, lodging, and basic amenities will be provided.
