Students in Karnataka can now apply for concessional bus passes for the 2025–26 academic year starting May 26. Applications can be submitted online via the Seva Sindhu portal (https://sevasindhu.karnataka.gov.in) or in person at BangaloreOne centres.
From June 1, the physical issuance of passes will take place between 8:00 am and 6:30 pm daily at multiple locations:

BMTC bus stations at Majestic, Kengeri, Shanthinagar, Hoskote, Electronics City Depot-19, and
KSRTC Anekal Bus Station

Additionally, under the Shakti Scheme, female students who are Karnataka residents are eligible for free travel on ordinary BMTC buses, offering added relief for families with school-going girls.
This initiative aims to support students’ access to education while easing financial pressure through subsidized and free transport options.
