Out of 1,928 participants, nearly 21% reported consuming bakery items such as biscuits and cakes daily, while 64% expressed a desire to continue eating these products even if sugar content were reduced by only 25%.

- Addiction and Health Issues: Dr. Vandana G noted that high sugar intake can lead to addiction, worsen existing health conditions, and even exacerbate issues like asthma in children and young adults.
