A tense situation unfolded in Bengaluru’s Ramamurthynagar area after a 16-year-old girl allegedly attempted suicide from the terrace of a five-storey apartment building. She was later rescued safely following a swift response by police, emergency personnel and local residents.
According to reports, the girl had climbed onto the terrace of an apartment building in NRI Layout and threatened to jump, creating panic among residents in the area. Police and rescue teams quickly rushed to the spot after receiving information about the incident.
Rescue operation prevents tragedy
Authorities, along with local residents, reportedly engaged with the teenager for several minutes in an effort to calm her down. The coordinated rescue operation eventually succeeded in bringing her to safety without injuries.
Videos and visuals from the rescue operation have since circulated widely on social media, drawing praise for the timely intervention by police and emergency responders.
