A tragic accident on the Pune-Bengaluru National Highway resulted in the horrific deaths of two individuals after an unidentified vehicle collided with their motorcycle. The incident occurred near the Dharavati Hanuman Temple bypass in Gokul village, on the outskirts of Hubballi.

The victims have been identified as Gopalakrishna Upadhyaya (52) from Bengaluru and Sadanand Devadiga (48) from Dharwad. Both men suffered severe mutilations in the crash. Gopalakrishna had parked his car at Hubballi’s Chennamma Circle before embarking on a pilgrimage to Pandharpur. After completing the pilgrimage, he was dropped off near Ramya Residency on the bypass, where he joined Sadanand on his scooter to head back to Hubballi. Tragically, an unidentified vehicle struck their scooter, leading to their fatal injuries.

The North Traffic Police have registered a case and are currently investigating the incident.
