Bengaluru faced two significant fire incidents on Wednesday, both attributed to suspected short circuits. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in either case.
The first fire erupted at the Triumph motorcycle showroom in Mahadevapura around 8:40 pm. The flames, which engulfed at least 50 vehicles, were controlled after a three-hour effort by fire tenders from Whitefield, Hoskote, and Mayo Hall. Officials confirmed the blaze originated from a short circuit inside the closed showroom. The alarm was raised by a nearby shopkeeper who noticed thick smoke. Mahadevapura police have registered the incident as a fire accident.
Meanwhile, in the Bommasandra Industrial Area near Hebbagodi, a second fire broke out at a textile warehouse, fueled by a large stock of apparel. The fire, which destroyed goods worth lakhs, required seven fire tenders from Electronics City, Anjanapura, and other stations across Bengaluru to contain.
Authorities are investigating both fires to confirm the exact causes and estimate the damages.
