In a shocking turn of events, Tabarez Pasha, the man who broadcasted the murder of his wife live on Facebook, died in Kolar while trying to escape from the police. Pasha had brutally stabbed his wife, Syeda Fazeel Fatima (34), to death on August 2 after forcibly entering her mother’s house in Bengaluru’s Chamarajpet. The murder, which he narrated live on Facebook, was the culmination of a domestic dispute that had led Fatima to move back to her mother’s home two years earlier.
Following the murder, Pasha evaded capture for five days, switching off his mobile phone and hiding in a mosque in Kolar. On the fifth day, he sought refuge at his aunt’s house. Acting on a tip-off, Chamarajpet police officers attempted to apprehend him, but Pasha tried to escape by jumping from the terrace. He fell from a height of 12 feet, sustaining severe injuries. Despite the police’s efforts to rush him to the hospital, Pasha succumbed to his injuries on the way.
The case has drawn attention to Pasha’s violent tendencies and criminal history, which included a previous involvement in a chain snatching case in Cotton Pet. The incident has sent shockwaves through the community, highlighting the dangers of domestic violence and the disturbing use of social media platforms to broadcast criminal acts.
The police investigation continues, with further details expected to shed light on the tragic events that led to this conclusion.
