A video allegedly showing a couple engaging in inappropriate behavior at Madavara Metro Station in Bengaluru has triggered a storm on social media. The footage, which surfaced online on April 11, shows a young man putting his hand inside the t-shirt of a girl — believed to be his partner — while they waited for a train on the platform. The girl appeared nonchalant, and other commuters were visibly present during the incident.

The video, originally shared by the X (formerly Twitter) handle ‘Karnataka Portfolio’, posed the question: “Is Bengaluru Metro moving towards Delhi Metro culture?” referencing previous incidents of PDA reported from the capital’s transit system.

The clip, roughly 1.5 minutes long, quickly gained traction, prompting public outrage. Many users criticized the couple for inappropriate conduct in a public place, while others diverted attention by making xenophobic remarks, blaming “migrants from North India” for “cultural degradation.”

Some users speculated that the girl might be a minor, urging content creators and media outlets to blur the couple’s faces and uphold ethical standards. “People who preach morality didn’t even blur the faces—such hypocrisy,” commented one user.

As of now, there has been no official response from Bengaluru Metro authorities or the city police. Several users have tagged @CPBlr, demanding action and an inquiry into the incident.
