According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Karnataka can expect continued rainfall for the coming week. Bengaluru, in particular, will experience light to moderate showers in various areas, prompting a yellow alert until May 13.

After enduring scorching temperatures, several regions across Karnataka received welcome showers on Saturday, bringing much-needed relief to residents. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted continued rainfall for the next 3-4 days.

Minister for Rural Development & Panchayat Raj, Priyank Kharge, appealed to the Election Commission for a model code of conduct relaxation in the state, so that the government can restart the efforts of tackling prevailing drought conditions in the state and hold meetings with the officials in this regard, according to a report.

Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar asked former Chief minister H D Kumaraswamy to set his own house in order before pointing fingers at others.

The JD(S) and BJP alliance in the state is strong and will continue in the coming days, said JD(S) Core Committee President GT Deve Gowda.
