Beyond Snack Opens Advanced Banana Chips Factory in Tumkur

Beyond Snack, the Kerala banana chips brand featured on Shark Tank India, has inaugurated a new factory at the India Food Park in Tumkur, Karnataka. The state-of-the-art facility spans 60,000 sq ft on 2 acres, boasting advanced technology for precision slicing and optimal cooking control.

The plant has a daily production capacity of 6.6 MT, tripling the company’s current capacity. Constructed in a record 4.5 months, the factory enhances the banana value chain and includes an R&D center for future innovations. It aims to become a 100% women-run operation by 2026, currently operating with an 80% women workforce.

Co-Founder Manas Madhu highlighted the factory’s role in the company’s growth journey, emphasizing its commitment to innovation, sustainability, and gender diversity. Key hires in innovation and supply chain management position Beyond Snack for sustained growth, both domestically and internationally. The brand has seen significant growth since its inception in 2020 and a $3.5 million investment from NABVentures in 2023.
