Amazon has launched its quick commerce service, Amazon Now, in select parts of Bangalore, venturing into India’s burgeoning market for ultra-fast delivery. The service offers delivery of groceries, medicines, and other essentials within 10 minutes, a source revealed to ET NOW.

A standout feature of Amazon Now is its zero-cost delivery on orders above ₹199, without extra fees for handling, late-night deliveries, or surge pricing—a notable edge over competitors like Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart, which charge nominal handling fees.

The quick commerce sector in India has rapidly grown since Swiggy pioneered the concept during the COVID-19 lockdown. With rising consumer demand for faster delivery services, Amazon’s entry intensifies the competition.

Currently available in specific Bangalore neighborhoods, Amazon Now plans to expand to additional regions and cities soon, underscoring the company’s commitment to capturing a larger share of this high-growth market.
