Apple is reportedly working on two innovative pairs of smart eyewear that could transform the wearable tech space by 2027. According to a Bloomberg report, the first set will closely resemble Meta’s collaboration with Ray-Ban, featuring built-in cameras, microphones, and speakers, designed to offer a lightweight and affordable option for users. These glasses are expected to run on custom chips based on Apple Watch technology, optimized to handle input from multiple cameras, hinting at more than one lens.

In addition to this, Apple is developing a second, more advanced product: augmented reality (AR) glasses. These will feature integrated displays for immersive AR experiences, allowing users to interact with digital content overlaid onto the real world. The AR glasses, however, are still in early stages of development.

The smart glasses will likely rely heavily on Siri for voice commands, allowing users to perform tasks, navigate apps, and interact with various forms of content hands-free. Furthermore, Apple is expected to integrate its “Visual Intelligence” system, which analyzes the wearer’s surroundings and provides real-time contextual information.

While Meta is pursuing a similar path with its own smart glasses, Apple’s entry into this space promises to bring cutting-edge technology and seamless integration with its existing ecosystem, setting the stage for a new era in wearable computing.
