Maldare (Karnataka), June 25, 2024: Bisleri International, in collaboration with the Karnataka Forest Department, organized a significant forest clean-up drive in Maldare, Kodagu district. The initiative aimed to clean up a 10 km stretch from Maldare to the Muttur wildlife forest area.

Chinnavishera, DRFO of Tiger Reserve Forest from the Karnataka Forest Department, emphasized the importance of this partnership in promoting environmental sustainability. The drive collected 810 kg of plastic and non-biodegradable waste, installed awareness signage boards, and introduced plastic collection banks to encourage recycling and prevent littering.

K Ganesh, Director of Sustainability & Corporate Affairs at Bisleri International Pvt Ltd, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, highlighting their ‘Bottles for Change’ initiative. The partnership aims to foster a greener future for Karnataka by promoting responsible waste management practices.

Samprabhav Foundation, a local NGO based in Abyathmangala, Kodagu, also participated in educating communities about effective waste segregation and recycling methods during the initiative. Their involvement underscores the broader community impact and educational outreach of the clean-up drive.
