Today, residents of Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai can exhale with relief as the costs of 19-kg commercial LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) cylinders have decreased in these four major cities. The price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders was reduced by up to Rs 57.5 per cylinder by state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs), and the revised prices went into effect on November 16.
The new prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders will be reflected for four metropolitan cities namely Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Chennai. The decline in the prices of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders have come as a huge respite for customers after prices were increased by Rs 101.5 per cylinder before Diwali.
After revision, 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder in Delhi will cost Rs 1775.5, Rs 1885.5 in Kolkata, Rs 1728 in financial capital of India Mumbai, and Rs 1942 in Chennai. It is worth mentioning here that prices for domestic LPG cylinders will remain the same.
For the second time in the previous two months, state-run oil marketing corporations raised the price of commercial LPG cylinders in various locations throughout India at the beginning of November. In India, prices for both residential and commercial LPG cylinders are updated on the first of each month. The most recent drop in 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder prices is anticipated to relieve hotel and restaurant operators by lowering cooking expenses in the long run.
