Mangaluru: Canute Jeevan Pinto (Canute Kelarai), a media and marketing expert and Director of Spearhead Media Group has been elevated Executive Director of the company as of May 1.
Canute joined as Business Development Officer with Spearhead Media Group, which owns and publishes media brands NewsKarnataka.com, NewsKannada.com, Karnataka Today Magazine, NK Plus E-Magazine, and its active social media pages. He has overseen the marketing and PR activities of the company in the Middle East before moving to its corporate office in Mangaluru. For the past 5 years, he has been managing the PR and marketing activities of the company and has set up a good support base for the new age media company.
A Mechanical Diploma graduate, Canute has local and international experience of over 15 years in managing operations in a variety of industry segments from Media to Automobiles. An efficient organiser, his handling of the operations of the Spearhead Group has helped the group evolve into an effective organisation with resource utilisation being optimum.
His interest is media, and his previous work experience in a few local publications has served him good. His marketing skills radiate in both B2B and B2C situations.
He also serves as the President of the Rotary Club of Mangalore City and Secretary of PRCI Mangaluru Chapter. He was also appointed to the Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy by the Karnataka Government for a two-year term.
