CAMPCO (Central Arecanut and Cocoa Marketing and Processing Cooperative Ltd.) is set to inaugurate its new Arecanut Procurement & Processing Plant and Master Godown in Hebri on June 22, 2024, at 3:00 PM. The event, located on Kuchoor Road, Hebri Taluk, Udupi District, signifies a significant development for the agricultural sector.
The inauguration will be led by Sri Ravichandran S., General Manager of Karnataka Bank, highlighting collaborative efforts with regional financial institutions. Sri A. Kishore Kumar Kodgi, President of CAMPCO, will chair the ceremony, with Sri Tharanath Bangera, President of Hebri Gram Panchayat, as the Chief Guest. The event will also be attended by Sri Shankarnarayana Bhat Khandige, Vice President, Dr. B.V. Sathyanarayana, Managing Director, and other esteemed members of CAMPCO’s Board of Directors.
The new infrastructure includes a 676.42 square meter plant with additional staff quarters measuring 120.75 square meters. It features a storage capacity of 600 metric tonnes, constructed at a cost of Rs. 3,10,00,000 by M/s MDA Concrete Products and designed by M/s A.G. Associates, Udupi.
CAMPCO’s initiative aims to strengthen agricultural infrastructure and support local Areca farmers, reinforcing its commitment to advancing farming communities in Hebri.
