Tech mogul Elon Musk expressed his strong support for reducing trade barriers between the US and India, aiming to boost commerce between the two nations. His comments came in light of concerns about potential trade tariffs under President Donald Trump’s administration. Musk made these remarks during a unique meeting with Indian business leaders at SpaceX’s Starbase in Texas, where he underscored the growing potential for collaboration, especially in fields like technology and space exploration. “Things are looking up,” he stated.
Musk lauded India’s rich heritage, calling it “one of the world’s oldest and most complex civilizations.” He engaged with the delegation from diverse sectors, discussing key areas such as technological advancements in finance, AI innovation, and space partnerships. Musk emphasized India’s increasing importance in the global innovation ecosystem.
The gathering was organized by the India Global Forum (IGF) founder, Manoj Ladwa, and offered an exclusive chance for Indian entrepreneurs to interact with Musk and tour SpaceX’s advanced facilities. The delegation included notable figures such as Prashant Ruia of Essar Capital, Ritesh Agarwal of OYO, and Kalyan Raman of Flipkart. Musk shared his vision for SpaceX, stating that the company aims to broaden humanity’s understanding of the universe. He also expressed confidence that Grok 3, their AI initiative, would soon be the most advanced in the world.
