Bengaluru: Goldfinch boutique hotel chain owner MRG Hospitality and Infrastructure on Saturday said it is foraying into restaurant and hotel business in north India with an investment corpus of Rs.100 crore.

In line with its plans, the company on Saturday launched coastal cuisine restaurant Sana Di Ge on Malcha Marg in New Delhi’s diplomatic enclave.

“Land-locked Delhi and the northern hinterland has a substantial appetite for coastal cuisine and we intend to cater to this eating-out business,” said group chairman Prakash Shetty in a statement.

The company recently acquired the 72-room Express Sarovar Portico business hotel in Surajkund, Haryana from Express Infocom which it intends to relaunch as a Goldfinch hotel starting from April 2016.
