Ola Dash, the latest competitor in the fast-growing 10-minute food delivery space, has launched its service in Bengaluru, offering food from select restaurants within a 1km radius. This new initiative is part of Ola’s broader food delivery strategy, which was initially introduced in June 2023 via ONDC.
Ola Dash, which is integrated into the Ola main app under the food delivery section, aims to capitalize on the quick commerce trend by offering fast, limited-preparation meals. The service is already live in multiple locations across Bengaluru.
This move follows several unsuccessful attempts by Ola in the food delivery market, including a 2022 shutdown of its 10-minute grocery service and its previous acquisition of Foodpanda in 2017. Despite past setbacks, Ola is revisiting the space as 10-minute food delivery services, such as Swiggy’s Bolt and Blinkit’s Bistro, are gaining traction.
