Just days after the much-awaited launch of the OnePlus Watch 3, the premium smartwatch is making waves online—but not for the right reasons. Observant users noticed a glaring typo on the back panel, where instead of “Made in China”, it reads “Meda in China”.

Tech influencer Marques Brownlee (MKBHD) was among the first to highlight the blunder, sharing images of the misprint and confirming the mistake on X (formerly Twitter). His post quickly gained traction, triggering a mix of amusement and criticism.

While some speculated it was a deliberate marketing gimmick, others blamed OnePlus’ quality control team for the oversight. One user quipped, “Embarrassing. Someone’s getting fired for this.” Another joked, “And just like that, it’s now a collector’s item!” Some even suggested the typo was a subtle act of revenge by a disgruntled vendor.

Despite the controversy, the OnePlus Watch 3 remains available for pre-order at ₹29,000 ($329), with deliveries set to begin on February 25. It features a 1.5-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 2,200 nits peak brightness, a sapphire crystal cover, and titanium alloy bezels. It also boasts 5 ATM water resistance.

Whether this typo becomes a quirky selling point or a PR disaster, OnePlus has certainly found itself in the spotlight.
