Every year, the cost of real estate rises in several of India’s largest cities. However, residents still harbor the desire to live in opulent apartments and enjoy a high standard of living.

Pune residents were recently observed waiting up to eight hours in line to try to purchase apartments, which ranged in price from Rs 1.5 to Rs 2 crore. The Wakad region, located 15 kilometers from the city center, is where the lengthy lines were observed.

A video that was posted on X (formerly Twitter) showed a large line of people waiting to enter a building so they could look inside at the houses. In the caption, the user asked if anyone else would be willing to wait eight hours to purchase a home.

User comments on the now-viral video were numerous. While some said they wouldn’t wait for an extended period of time to purchase an apartment, others didn’t think the footage was real.

“Never at all. Those with 1.5 or 2 cents in their account don’t seem to be standing there, in my opinion. A user wrote, “Most of them standing to get the bank business good.”
