On the auspicious full moon day of the Ashad month, the grand Sri Chamarajeshwara Brahmarathotsava along with Sri Kempananjamba festivities commenced in Chamarajanagar at 12:15 am on Thursday.

The annual Rathotsava drew lakhs of devotees, with many newlyweds attending to seek blessings. According to tradition, Sri Chamarajeshwara is revered for fulfilling wishes and blessing families with prosperity.

To ensure safety, the district administration imposed tight security arrangements across the town. Food offerings and community meals were organised along main roads and designated areas for devotees.

Several dignitaries, including former District In-charge Minister and MLA C. Puttarangashetty, District Collector Shilpanag, Superintendent of Police Kavita, and Municipal Council President Suresh, were present for the occasion.

The celebrations reflected deep devotion and cultural significance, marking an important spiritual event in the region.
