The Isha Foundation’s Sadhguru Sannidhi in Chikkaballapur district will unveil its newest addition — a 54ft-tall Mahashula (trishul) near the iconic 112ft-tall Adiyogi statue. Designed by Sadhguru himself, the Mahashula will be inaugurated on Tuesday, marking the auspicious occasion of Maha Sankranti.

This unique installation represents the three universal forces of creation, maintenance, and destruction. Fabricated from metal, it features a stainless-steel interior frame and a brass-steel exterior, weighing approximately 10 tonnes. The Mahashula stands on a chariot-like base supported by four massive stone wheels, each weighing about one tonne. These wheels are designed to be physically rotated by visitors, offering an interactive and symbolic experience.

Sadhguru described the experience of engaging with the wheels as transformative, influencing one’s body, mind, and energy. The installation also symbolizes time — past, present, and future — and the three primary energy channels in the human system: Ida, Pingala, and Sushumna.

The Mahashula is the first of its kind in India and has been meticulously crafted by volunteers of the Isha Foundation. The foundation anticipates the installation will attract more visitors to the Sannidhi, creating a space for both spiritual exploration and cultural enrichment.
