A shocking video has surfaced online, capturing a brutal altercation inside a ladies’ coach of a Mumbai suburban train, where a woman is visibly wounded and bleeding. Such clashes are unfortunately not rare on Mumbai locals, where tensions often rise during peak hours over seating or during the rush to board and exit.

This specific incident occurred on the Western Railway line, reportedly during a ladies special service from Churchgate to Virar. The video, which seems to have been filmed by another commuter, shows a woman standing in the train’s passageway with injuries, locked in a heated exchange with fellow passengers.

The exact cause behind the confrontation remains unclear. However, fellow travelers speculate it might have stemmed from a disagreement over seating or possibly a personal dispute.

In the video, the situation escalates quickly — the two women begin dragging each other by the hair, hurling insults, and exchanging blows. Others in the compartment are seen pleading for calm, shouting, “Chhodo, chhodo” in an attempt to defuse the fight.

Amid the chaos, one concerned commuter quickly shuts the coach’s corridor gate, likely to avoid someone being pushed out or further injured.

Though no formal FIR has been lodged, the Government Railway Police (GRP) has taken note of the viral footage and is working to gather more details surrounding the event.
