
CM Siddaramaiah to Launch Key Projects, Unveil Wadiyar Statue in Mandya
Mandya: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is set to arrive in Mandya city on May 8 to take part in several government functions and community gatherings, announced CD Gangadhar, president of the Mandya District Congress Committee.
The CM’s itinerary will begin with the ground-breaking ceremony for the new administrative building of the Mandya District Central Co-operative (MDCC) Bank, to be established near the Girija theatre.
He will then head to the MySugar factory grounds to unveil a bronze statue of Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wadiyar, honouring the legacy of the former Maharaja of Mysuru, known for his visionary leadership and contributions to the state.
Later, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah will also lay the foundation stone for a new boys’ hostel within the Kanaka Bhavan premises. This event will be chaired by ML Suresh, president of the Mandya District Kuruba Association, and blessed by the presence of Shivanandapuri Swamiji from Kaginele Mahasamsthana.
The high-profile event is expected to see the participation of several state leaders and ministers, including Agriculture Minister N. Cheluvarayaswamy, Union Steel and Heavy Industries Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, and cabinet members Shivaraj Tangadagi, H.C. Mahadevappa, Byrathi Suresh, H.M. Revanna, and Zameer Ahmad Khan.
These programs mark significant developmental strides for Mandya, aligning with the state’s broader goals of infrastructure enhancement and cultural recognition.
