The much-anticipated Family Fiesta 2024 by Mangalore Konkans culminated in grand success at Sharjah Wanderers Sports Club. The event, marked by its vibrant Hawaiian theme, united over 2,000 attendees, making it a historic gathering for the Konkani community in the UAE. Families celebrated with laughter, camaraderie, and spirited participation, creating cherished memories.

The day began with an electrifying Tug of War. The Leyton Shipping Team AB (B) and Flyway United A emerged victorious in the men’s and women’s divisions, respectively. Spectacular performances by artists like Mark Revlon, Alina Peris, and DJ Kiran captivated the crowd, while Bandscape and trumpeter Remerio Peter Mascarenhas delivered soulful melodies.

  • Christmas Carols: Melodic Echoes won the competition, with Dreamzz UAE as runners-up.
  • Mini Santa Competition: Adorable toddlers charmed the crowd, with 18-month-old twins stealing the show.
  • Jive Dance Contest: Couples dazzled with energetic performances.

The Family Photo Contest celebrated love and unity, with Mrs. Lilly and Mr. Vivian D’Souza’s family winning top honours. Kids revelled in activities like bouncing castles, face painting, and playful mascots, while Creative Minds’ Fun Zone encouraged adults to embrace their inner child through engaging mini-games.

Delightful novelties and surprises

Attendees enjoyed a feast by Caesars Caterers, and kids received goody bags and free ice creams. A raffle draw added excitement, with Mr. Allan Noronha winning gold coins. The classic Housie Housie game kept all ages entertained with fantastic prizes.
