Dubai: FOI Events, in collaboration with the Indian Consulate in Dubai, successfully organized a mega blood donation camp at the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) headquarters as part of the Indian Republic Day celebrations. The initiative received an exceptional response, with more than 300 donors enthusiastically participating in the life-saving drive.
The event showcased the strong spirit of unity, compassion, and social responsibility within the Indian and expatriate community in the UAE. Volunteers from various walks of life came together to support the humanitarian cause, reinforcing the importance of voluntary blood donation in saving lives.
Over the last two decades, more than 1,000 blood donors have participated annually in these camps, reflecting the sustained commitment and trust of the community. All programs are carried out in a highly organized and disciplined manner under the full supervision and medical guidance of the Dubai Health Authority’s professional healthcare teams, ensuring the highest standards of safety and efficiency.
The continued success of these initiatives highlights FOI Events’ unwavering dedication to humanitarian service and its vital role in supporting the UAE’s healthcare system through voluntary blood donation.
FOI Events has been actively involved in a wide range of social service initiatives for the past 20 years, with blood donation drives being one of its flagship humanitarian activities. These camps are organized under the leadership of Mr. Bhagyaraj Rao, a prominent leader of the Kannadiga community, with the meticulous planning and coordination of a dedicated team of volunteers. All camps are conducted under the direct and strict supervision of medical experts from the Dubai Health Authority (DHA), ensuring the highest standards of safety and professionalism.
Mr. Bhagyaraj Rao has been personally organizing and managing blood donation camps continuously for the past 12 years. In recognition of his outstanding commitment, hard work, and humanitarian service, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) honored him with an award, acknowledging blood donation as a noble and life-saving cause.
Medical experts emphasize that regular blood donation contributes to overall health by helping to regulate blood pressure, reduce high cholesterol levels, lower cancer risk, alleviate psychological stress, and manage excess weight. FOI Events strongly believes that greater awareness must be created about the importance of blood donation, and the donors participating in these camps truly exemplify the highest humanitarian values.
Blood donation remains one of the most significant services to humanity. FOI Events expressed its sincere gratitude to all the blood donors, volunteers, staff of the Indian Consulate, DHA medical teams, and all well-wishers for their valuable participation and support in making this noble initiative a continued success.
