Nirkan: St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan, celebrated Christmas 2025 with deep joy, devotion, and community spirit on Tuesday evening.
The celebrations began at 6.45 pm with the blessing of the Christmas crib, beautifully prepared by members of the Indian Catholic Youth Movement (ICYM). The crib was blessed by Rev. Fr Boniface Pinto, marking the symbolic welcome of the Infant Jesus and setting a reverent tone for the evening.
This was followed by Christmas carol singing at 7.00 pm, as hymns of joy and praise filled the church premises, drawing the faithful into the spirit of the Nativity.
The solemn Christmas Eucharistic Mass was celebrated at 7.30 pm, with Rev. Fr Boniface Pinto as the main celebrant. He was joined by Rev. Fr Anil Roshan Lobo, Parish Priest of St Thomas the Apostle Church, Nirkan, along with other priests as concelebrants.
The celebration reflected the true essence of Christmas—faith, joy, and togetherness—bringing parishioners together to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ in a prayerful and meaningful manner.
