Abu Dhabi, August 19, 2025: KCO Trust (Regd.) disbursed scholarships to 56 deserving students at St. Joseph’s Church hall Bajpe, Mangalore on Sunday, August 17, 2025.

Rev. Fr. Ronald Cutinha, Director Samanvaya, introduced both KCO and Samanvaya activities. KCO signed an management agreement in 2004 with Samanvaya to manage their Scholarships to deserving students.

He invited the chief guest of  the program Mrs. Pramila Crasta, MD, Sapling Multi Ventures Private Limited, Mangalore, the guest of honor Rev. Fr. Vincent Toras,  Director, Our Lady of Good Health Church, Mission Center, Jalasangi, Bidar, Gulbarga Diocese, the president of the function Mr. Leo Rodrigues, President of KCO and MD, Amigo Automobile Services SP LLC, Abu Dhabi and other office bearers of KCO for 2025, Pearl Jubilee Year.

Vice President of KCO, CA Valerian Dalmaida welcomed the guests and Mr Leo Rodrigues offered flower bouquets to all the guests, office bearers and previous members of KCO and Rev. Fr. Francis D’Almeida SJ, present for the program. The program began with prayers sung by the members of Samanvaya and lighting lamp by the guests and office bearers of KCO.

Scholarships of Rs.10 lakhs were distributed to 30 students of Bidar and 26 students of Dakshina Kannada, Udupi, Karwar and Hubli Districts, by the chief guest. Guest of honor and the president.,

Commending the efforts of KCO in investing in the education through scholarships for the past 21 years, chief guest Mrs. Pramila Crasta, gave a call to the students to make use of this investment of KCO, study well and grow and give back to society as KCO.

Guest of honor Rev. Fr. Vincent Thoras, gave a call to students that they are like sandalwood plants supported by KCO and grow and become a tree and spread the fragrance by reaching good positions in their life and helping the needy students as KCO does.

President Mr. Leo Rodrigues, told the students that they must thank the persons who recommended their names to KCO and Samanvaya and keep communication with KCO with their academic performance every year, their service and achievements of the future. He also lauded the efforts of Mrs. Claudia Lobo, the coordinator of disbursement committee meticulously administering the scholarships, contacting all the students.

KCO Trust (Regd.), since its inception, with the tag line “ Preserving Culture, Improving Lives” has donated a total  of Rs. 7.54 Crores for various charitable activities including the disbursement of 1,657 scholarships amounting to Rs. 1.53 Crores. This year the scholarship of Rs.10 lakhs is disbursed among 56 students.
