Dubai: A successful blood donation drive organized by Konkan Yuva in collaboration with St. Mary’s Mangalorean Community (SMMC) and Young Adults Ministry (YAM) Dubai on March 19, 2025, witnessed an impressive turnout. Held at Dubai Health Center, Jaddaf, the event began at 7:00 PM, bringing together 85 participants, of which 70 successfully donated blood.
A Noble Initiative for Community Welfare
The initiative, supervised by medical professionals, aimed to support UAE’s blood bank reserves while spreading awareness about the importance of regular blood donation. The overwhelming response reflected the spirit of giving within the Konkani community, especially during Ramadan and Lent, when such charitable events hold special significance.

Established in February 2005, Konkan Yuva has played a crucial role in fostering unity and cultural engagement among Konkani youth in the UAE. With the guidance of spiritual leaders from St. Mary’s Church, Dubai, the organization has consistently hosted initiatives that promote social welfare and community bonding.
